The EU Pact for Skills: towards the up and re-skilling of the European workforce

Registrations are now open here for the session „The EU Pact for Skills: towards the up and re-skilling of the European workforce“ that will take place on the 9th February, from 15:15h to 16:00h as part of the EU Industry Days 2022.

• Pekka Pesonen, Copa-Cogeca Secretary General, will deliver a presentation showing the progress of the implementation of the Pact for Skills in the agri-food ecosystem. He will also announce the date in which the partnership will be officially launched this month.

• Additionally, please find attached the latest version of the joint paper on the Pact for Skills in the agri-food ecosystem. The Secretariat would like to encourage you to review it and, should you agree with its content, send us the logos of your organizations to join the Pact (no later than 17^th February 2022), which is a non-binding declaration of principles and ambitions. The logos will be included in the signatories section of the Pact.

Since the first edition in 2017, the EU Industry Days were established and recognised as the European Commission’s main platform for open stakeholder dialogues and sectorial discussions. Other ecosystems such as Tourism and Construction will be presented too.

With a foreword by Commissioner Schmit the event is a unique opportunity to learn more about the European Pact for Skills and its future role. Speakers from the existing skills partnerships will share their experience.
