GEOPA: OiRA Launch Event for the Agriculture Sector

OiRA Launch Event for the Agriculture Sector‘, to be held virtually on Wednesday 9 March 2022 from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.

The objective of this event is to launch the Online interactive Risk Assessment Tool (OiRA) for the agriculture sector. The tool has been developed by the representative European Social Partners in Agriculture, the European Federation of Food, Agriculture, and Tourism Trade Unions (EFFAT) and the Employers‘ Group of Professional Agricultural Organisations in the European Union (GEOPA), with the support of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). EFFAT and GEOPA, the lead coordinators of the launch, also aim to hear from you during an exchange of views focused on the pathways to the implementation of the OiRA at national level.

• This event is the culmination of the joint collaboration of EFFAT, GEOPA and the EU-OSHA which started in December 2020 to increase occupational safety and health standards and compliance in farms and agro-cooperatives, and it is the most comprehensive OiRA tool for the sector ever done. Its future use could facilitate compliance with the social conditionality in the Common Agriculture Policy.
